One of my favorite foods by far has always been banana bread and I always used to think that it was something really hard to make. But a few weeks ago I found a super simple recipe for banana bread on the I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter website and have already made my family a few batches. This recipe is especially great when you have overripe bananas, which we have a lot of during these really warm summer months. So this recipe is the best and easiest way to get those bananas used up, plus you can give your family a treat for them to really enjoy. 

The ingredient that makes this recipe shine is one that I always have in my fridge, I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter, which is made with real, simple ingredients like a blend of delicious blend of oils, purified water and a pinch of salt. I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter Original has amazing fresh butter taste in a deliciously simple recipe. This creamy spread contains no artificial flavors, no artificial preservatives and 0 grams trans fat, which means I can top my banana bread with a little bit more of that butter too, because why not? Anyways, let me share this yummy recipe so you can see just how easy it is to make your family a warm loaf of banana bread. 

Best Ever Banana Bread

  • 3 large ripe bananas, mashed, (1-1/2 cups)
  • 1 cup I Can't Believe It's Not Butter!® Spread
  • 3/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Brush 9 x 5-inch loaf pan with additional I Can't Believe It's Not Butter!® Spread; set aside.
  • Combine first 5 ingredients in large bowl. Stir in remaining ingredients until blended and spoon into prepared pan.
  • Bake 60-70 minutes. Allow to cool for at least 20 minutes, remove from pan and cool completely. Serve in slices.

I wish you could smell this straight out of the oven! It smells SO good.
