Current Beauty Favorites

It's weird because I have so many products, and many that I really like, but when you have so much it's hard to use much of any one thing. Does that make any sense at all? That's why whenever I have to pick out favorites, things that really stood out to me, it's hard. But today I stood in my room and picked out a handful of items that I can tell you really are favorites. These are items I have used more than once and that I really like.

Bath & Body Works Ultra Shea Body Cream in Plum Cider Warmth is the jam. This has a very warm, comforting scent that I love applying before bed. It smells like plums and the consistency really is good on these creams. I have used like half of this tube and it is very sad indeed because I don't have a backup nor the accompanying body spray. I was trying to cut back and only got the cream and how I wish I had the full set. You will notice that my hands in these pics are super dry and that's because I can't wear lotion during the day, but at night I apply this generously.

The Pixi Beauty Glow Tonic Toner had been on my radar for a while. This is the smaller bottle that costs $15 and I almost got it a few times but one day I found them for only $7.50 and got two so Cici and I could try them. I love how this smells like aloe vera and how it makes my skin feel clean but not dry and there is no alcohol. On Monday during their 25% off coupon I went in-store and got two more bottles! Nothing like scoring a good deal.

The Sonia Kashuk Starstruck brush set it's definitely a favorite of mine. I got the set as well as the larger one just last week during Target's 20% off beauty sale. This week they had 35% off beauty items but I didn't have the energy to take things back and repurchase them, but I still think I got a pretty good deal. The original price for this is $29.99 and I only paid about $24.00 which is not bad at all. I haven't been able to use them yet because I'm still waiting to get pictures for a post but they're just so beautiful! I'm normally not a fan of gold but I definitely love this brush set.

This holiday season has been all about the eyeshadow palettes for me. For a very long time I didn't get into shadows because one of my fears was falling in love with eyeshadows and then wanting to buy all the palettes.  The Makeup Forever 9 Artist Shadow Palette is one that I bought because I really wanted the limited edition holiday one which is more expensive, but knowing that neutral would work out more for every day I got this one. My plan was to use it immediately and hate so that I would have a reason to return it and buy myself the more expensive palette. No such thing happened because from the first day I used this pallet I absolutely fell in love with it and I have used it more than any of my other palettes in just the few weeks I've had it. And don't cry for me Argentina because I already ordered myself the limited edition one with my $25 off VIB Rouge coupon.

When it comes to beauty, my biggest love will always be lipsticks and I narrowed it down to three lipsticks that I have worn in the past weeks that I have really enjoyed.

Gerard Cosmetics Dragon Berry is a muted berry shade that's super pretty. I have a few other lipsticks from this range that are kind of dry so I was surprised when this one went on so soft and smooth. I would say this is a purple shade that you can wear if you want to wear purple but can't quite swallow the brighter or darker purple shades.

Sonia Kashuk Matte Lipstick in Crushed Berry is a brick red shade that is very pretty and the formula is absolutely wonderful. Putting this lipstick on is a pleasure because this formula is just wonderful. If they made an entire line of these lipsticks I would probably buy them all.

Sephora Cream Lipstain in Marvelous Mauve is the first Sephora lip stain that I tried. I like liquid lipsticks as much as the next guy but a lot of the formulas can be very drying and I definitely don't like it when they sink into your lip lines or give you wrinkles that you don't even have on your lips. This formula is not as drying as a lot of the other ones and I love how you can layer this and you get none of that awful crusting and peeling. Plus this shade is amazeballs and I was surprised to enjoy it more than the red stain from the same range. I'm normally a red lip gal so if I like this more that tells you a lot about this shade.

The last item on my current favorites list has to be this Wet n Wild Megalast Polish in Haze of Love. I've been wearing this for about two weeks and I'm about to redo my nails in the same shade because I am absolutely in love with this color. Seriously, for $1.99 Wet n Wild makes some of the best nail polishes ever. They also really seem to handle extreme weather because a few weeks ago I was trying to wear some of my other polishes I found that they had gotten thick even though they were only a few months old. In the meantime polishes that I have from this range from over a year ago are exactly the same as a day that I bought them, plus the brush on these polishes makes applying so easy. If you see Haze of Love I would definitely say pick it up because it is a perfect fall shade and it's just a great formula overall.

I hope you enjoyed this post about my current favorites. I'm hoping to get a year end 2015 favorites up at the end of this month. Don't forget that if you want to see my hauls and a lot of product beauty reviews you can check out my other blog
