The holiday season is upon us and no one is happier than I am! I love the holiday season. Even though it can be a stressful time and it's always so busy, there is just no better time of the year to me. The holidays are a time of happiness, family and for spending as much quality time with those special people in our lives. And of course as a super holiday lover, I love to decorate as early as possible. For me it's all about bringing the holiday "alegria" or "joy" into my home as quickly as I can. I started buying my holiday decor weeks ago and have now stocked my home with some special holiday scents and fragrances from the Glade® Winter Collection. Yes, the holiday collection is out! I know that if you loved the Glade® fall collection, you were totally waiting for the holiday collection just like me. And these scents are all about the joy and alegria of the holidays!

I picked up Be at Peace™ (balsam fir and juniper) and Cherish the Present™ (apple cinnamon) in Jar Candles and Premium Room Sprays. They are a great combo because I can have a Cherish the Present™ candle burning downstairs so we can enjoy that sweet apple scent, while I spray some Be at Peace™ so all of the bedrooms have that classic pine tree scent.

Save some money on the Glade® Winter Collection by grabbing a coupon. I found mine at Target.

Now that my home looks and smells like the holidays, we can really get into the mood by enjoying some of our favorite holiday treats. For us, Navidad is a time to roll out a lot of special comidas and drinks. My mom is the tamale maker in the house and I know that on Christmas Day she will break out with the bunuelos. In the meantime, we are enjoying a lot of chocolate caliente and pan dulce as we sit around watching holiday movies and making letters to Santa with the kids.

Chocolate caliente is a holiday tradition for us. As soon as Halloween passes every year and the weather gets a little cooler, my girls love making some of this chocolate. I taught them how to make it when they were little girls and it's something that they have taken with them even once they have moved out.

Let me show you how easy it is to enjoy some delicious chocolate caliente.

Chocolate Caliente

(4 cups)

4 cups of milk

1 Mexican chocolate bar

1 tablespoon of vanilla

2 tablespoons cinnamon for garnish

4 cinnamon sticks

Preparation: Heat milk in large pot. Once milk has begun to boil, add Mexican chocolate bar broken into a few pieces. Add in a tablespoon of vanilla. As you let your milk boil, keep stirring to separate chocolate and to keep milk from overflowing. Heat until boiling and serve hot. Garnish with cinnamon and a cinnamon stick.

Salud! Wish you could enjoy some of this delicious, cinnamon-vanilla chocolate caliente with me. It's delicioso!

With the help of the Glade® Winter Collection and my chocolate caliente in my hand, I am now ready to face the holidays head-on. I can't wait for all the craziness of shopping, spending time with familia and enjoy some tamalitos. Our home is going to be full of "Alegria" this holiday season. I wish the same for your family. Happy holidays amigos!
