Do you feel that? That, my friend, is the sound of the holiday season stampeding its way towards us. The holidays are the most wonderful part of the year, but they can also be the most stressful. This year I have decided that I just can't go through the stress of leaving everything down to the last two weeks. It's a horrible way to deal with the holidays, especially when I would rather be enjoying the time with my family. Instead I always find myself running around the stores like a mad chicken. What IS a mad chicken? Who knows, but I know that's exactly what I feel like when I am running around buying last minute gifts and standing in those endless lines. I knew there just had to be a better way to get my gift shopping done.
This year I started my holiday shopping with Jack who really deserves a good holiday this year. After taking on three kids as her own, I really wanted her to have something special to remember the year that it happened. It's not everyday that you become a mom of three right? What better gift for her than a moment captured in time...a moment that was one of our best from this year, to always remember the struggle that she went through to make it happen, and the fact that she succeeded.
These are a few pictures from one of our beach days at Oceanside Pier early this year. It was one of our first trips after she got the kids, and it was one of the best days that I can remember. If there was a moment that I wanted to give her, I knew this was it.
My gift to her: the Favorite Memory 20x16 Canvas Art from Tiny Prints. This canvas is a gorgeous piece of work and placing my order on Tiny Prints was so incredibly easy. I was super impressed after receiving it only four days after placing my order.
Looking at this canvas brings back all the memories from that day at the beach. I remember all the kids being there, including my other grandson Jeremiah who lives nearby. I remember how amazing the golden sunset looked and how we watched it set together. I don't think that day could have gotten any better, and now Jack will always have this canvas on her wall to remember it.
The holidays are a time to celebrate family and to be thankful for everything. Tiny Prints helped me find the most important gift of the season, for such a well-deserving child of mine.
