I've always tried to use my Canon for clear pictures when posting here, but after having lost pictures twice in a row now, I am hesitant to use the camera until I find a laptop I am keeping. I did purchase an Asus on Monday, but it's such a bad computer, it's going back tomorrow for sure. In the meantime, I am using pictures taken with my cell phones. For this review, I used my LG phone which has pretty low resolution, but it shows the true color of the polish more than my better phone. Since the point is to show you what the color really looks like, I went ahead with it. Not completely happy about this, but it can't be helped for the moment.
So, now that I have confessed to my sins, today's nails of the day color is this super pretty, pale pink by NYX Cosmetics.
NYX Nail Polish Salon Formula polishes are $4 on their website, I purchased this during a 40% off sale end of last year. I got two of them but this is the first time I get to try them. The description states these are a one coat polish and that is probably why it's so thick. But I needed to apply two coats to get the full color below. Because of the thickness of the formula, I found I had to move fast and NOT go over a section more than once, because then major lumpiness ensued.
What I like about this collection of polishes, is just how many colors they have and in many finishes. I still don't know what the staying power will be, but I imagine I will be getting more in the future, just because of that amazing selection. I'm a sucker for pretty colors, and they offer so many!
Pink was a color I shied away from in the past, but lately pinks in all shades have been a favorite. I really like how pale this pink is and even though it makes my hands look a little darker, I think it looks very nice.
Are you a fan of NYX polishes or pale pink shades?
