This is a sponsored post in collaboration with Sony TV and Welcome to the Family on NBC. All opinions are my own.
I am very excited about a new show that is airing tomorrow night on NBC, Welcome To The Family. As a big fan of Ricardo Chavira (of Desperate Housewives) and Justina Machado ( of so many shows and movies, but I love her most from Six Feet Under and Final Destination) I am super happy to see them back on television. This time the two actors will be portraying a Hispanic family, Miguel and Lisette Hernandez, that is going through a lot of the same things that Hispanic families go through all the time. They have worked so hard to give their son Junior, who is portrayed by Joey Haro, a better future and just as he is getting ready to head off to Stanford the unimaginable happens. Yes, he gets la novia pregnant! What will happen to his education, can he still have the bright future that these two parents worked so hard to give him?
Having to deal with the girlfriend Molly (Ella Rae Peck), and her family is also going to be hard for the Hernandez family. I am also a big fan of these, actors Dan Yoder (Mike O’Malley), and wife, Caroline (Mary McCormack). The families are just so different that coming together for their kids and their grandchild is both hard and very comical. It's a true clash of old school parenting versus new school parenting and how they will manage to get along for the sake of this baby, I have no idea! Can this "familia" and the other "family" come together and live in harmony? Yo no se! What I do know is that I can totally relate to this story line and I can't wait to see how this all plays out.
I am going to be watching tomorrow night on NBC. I invite you to watch because Eva Longoria is going to be making a guest appearance. Let's see what kind of friction Miss Eva is going to cause between Miguel and Lisette. If you have missed the previous episodes you can catch up on them here so you can be fully caught up before tomorrows episode.
Tune into Welcome to the Family, Thursdays on NBC, 8:30c/7:30c.
I am excited to see Latinos on prime time once again!
