October marks the beginning of the holiday season, and that means holiday specials on television! Holiday specials were always my favorite when I was a kid and it has become a holiday tradition for us to now watch them with Sammy and the grand children. One holiday special you will not want to miss is the all new full-length movie starring our favorite little monkey Curious George. Curious George: A Halloween Boofest that includes 3 new songs, airs Monday, October 28th on PBS Kids. You will want to get the whole family together for this one!
Nothing says “Halloween” like costumes, pumpkins and spooky stories Curious George: A Halloween Boo Fest finds George unraveling the eerie mystery of No Noggin – a ghost who appears in the countryside each Halloween, intent on kicking the hats clean off the heads of trick-or-treaters. The brand-new, one-hour movie airs Monday, October 28 on PBS KIDS. Now available on DVD at Pbskids.org/curiousgeorge.
Before or after watching the movie you should also gather the kids up to do some crafting and activities. PBS has two great printables that the kids will love. Have them cut out this great Curious George mask and then this Tic Tac Toe game that they can cut out themselves (with safety scissors of course) before playing.
Sammy loved her copy of Curious George Goes to a Costume Party ( Jorge el Curioso Va a Una Fiesta De Dsfraces). She has been reading it in English and having her dad read to her in Spanish. What a great tool for when you are raising bilingual kids, we need to get her some more bilingual titles for sure.
Don't forget to tune in on Monday, October 28th for A Halloween Boofest. The kids will want to watch this more than once, so this movie is also available on DVD.
