This is part of a compensated campaign with Latina Mom Bloggers and Festival People En Español however, all opinions expressed are my own.
It's that time of year again, Festival People En Español is almost here and you still have plenty of time to get your tickets and be there to see the amazing lineup. On August 31st and September 1st People en Español celebrates their annual 2-day festival in San Antonio, Texas. The festival includes free open-to-the-public daytime activities with celebrities like Maite Perroni, Angelica Maria, and Jencarlos Canela. The night brings with it exciting concerts with other celebs like Demi Lovato and Gloria Estefan.
Something else you might be interested in attending, especially if you have a student in the San Antonio area, is the “Latinos in Higher Education: Staying in School and Achieving Success” panel hosted by award-winning journalist Soledad O’Brien. This will take place at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center on Saturday Aug. 31 at 2 p.m. Be part of this discussion which will address a variety of critical issues facing Hispanic students, with feedback from public figures who have overcome these challenges to achieve success.
Beyond the panels, two recipients in San Antonio will receive the Time Warner/People en Español Scholarship valued at $10,000 partnership with the Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF). MundoFox will contribute an $8,000 scholarship in partnership with HSF. Get more info about this on the festival website.
