What mom hasn't had a million diaper accidents? Babies are such a handful and when there is more than one child plus a very hectic day, chaos is sure to follow. This is exactly what happened to us last Halloween, when we took off for a night of trick-or-treating, without a single diaper in the diaper bag.

Last Halloween was a very hectic day, just like very other Halloween. Since the day always falls on a school night, it's always hard to get going on time. Somehow we made it out only a tiny bit late and set off for a night of candy and fun. But when I pulled Anthony out of the car, he was completely soaked, and when I reached into the bag there was nothing there.

I had two options: run to the nearest store and buy a bag, or I could take off the soaking diaper and let the little guy run butt naked through the streets of Hemet. I didn't really have the extra 40 minutes to get to the store, so I pulled off the diaper, rearranged the costume and off we went.

The funny thing is that this adorable monster costume I had bought him, had an opening in the back, and for the rest of the night we could all see Anthony's little butt peeking out. It certainly made for a very funny turquoise monster with a brown booty, which coincidentally matched the collar, hair and boots of the costume. =)

I think he actually enjoyed this night of bottom-less freedom, and because we had the cover of darkness, no one realized that what was popping out from behind him, was actually his butt. But I was more than a little stressed out to think that at any minute he could go to the bathroom, and depending on what he went, it could get veeery messy.

The moral of the story is...to always be prepared. If we had been doing something else, Anthony could never have gone diaper-less. What would have made my Halloween night better, would have been if I had not been using a generic store brand diaper that night. Since switching to Huggies® Snug & Dry diapers we have only had two leaking accidents. One might have happened because I decided to finish a post before changing his diaper =( But I really have seen such a difference in dryness protection, that I don't ever plan on going back to that prior brand.

Huggies® Snug & Dry Diapers have the SureFit Design, which provides up to 12 hours of leakage protection! That is impressive. Now that Anthony is 19 months, these can also keep up with his super high activity level and because of the Snug Fit Waistband, they stay with him no matter which way he rolls, moves or dances.

This diaper, would not have leaked that day and there would have been no need for extras, sometimes you really get what you pay for.
