My daughter Ciara just became a first time mom five months ago. Like me, she is a younger mom, shuffling between school and motherhood at the same time. While she is lucky not to have to work, I know that she is still going through very overwhelming moments, just like every other mom. Baby Julius is such a good baby, but since he is breastfed he suffers from a lot of constipation and now to top that all off, he is beginning to teeth. I know there are days that he is so incredibly fussy, days that she probably wonders if she is doing the right thing or wondering how much longer the crying will last. Those are the moments that I want her to know that she is not alone. She has an incredible support system, between our family and her boyfriend's family.
During those trying moments, I want her to know that motherhood doesn't come with a manual, we all learn as we go, and she is doing an exceptional job with this baby. I am even in awe that she was able to breastfeed him and has stuck to that. That little baby weighs like a zillion pounds and is just oozing health. He is so lucky really, to have such a wonderful mommy.
On her very first Mother's Day I want my daughter to know that motherhood is a journey, and while it is not always easy, we are with her every step of the way. This is the Johnson's Baby Care Card that I created for her.
JOHNSON’S® Baby brand, a charitable platform dedicated to improving the health of moms and babies recently announced the launch of Johnson's Baby Care Cards. This is an e-card platform that allows you to brighten the day of any or all the special moms you know, who might need an encouraging word. At the same time you will help raise funds for Save the Children®.
Just in time for Mother's Day, you can celebrate mom, by letting her know what a great job she is doing and at the same time help raise funds. For every Care Card sent, shared or ‘liked’ JOHNSON’S® Baby will donate $1.001, benefitting Save the Children® programs such as Early Steps to School Success, an early childhood education initiative. The Early Steps program works with more than 10,000 children, parents and caregivers annually to help provide a brighter future through early childhood education.Create your personalized digital care card on Facebook by using the #JOHNSONSbabycares Facebook app.
Every mom, no matter her situation, can always use an encouraging word, a small note letting them know you are there and that they are doing a great job. Today would be a great day to send that sepcial mom a care card.Visit Johnson's baby on Facebook and get started!
