Today it is officially the first day of Spring and that means that I am dreaming of flip-flops, pastel nail colors, coke icees and cute shorts paired with a sleeveless top. But I have to admit that I am not exactly in sleeveless top shape. Even though I made a resolution at the beginning of the year, not exactly to go on a diet, but to eat smarter and move around more, I haven't exactly stuck to it. I won't even list the many excuses that pop into my head when I want to explain, mostly to myself, why I haven't lost any weight. The truth is that I practice a "don't ask don't tell" policy with my weight. That just means I never weigh myself. By never weighing myself I can't be reminded of the 45+ pounds that I have gained in the past years. I do the same thing with mirrors; whenever I happen to pass a full body mirror I will either look away or run by like a Ninja. So far this method hasn't helped me in anything else other than avoidance. That is why when Conair offered me this Weight Watchers scale; I actually had to think about it for a little bit. A scale...where I can weight myself daily? Where I can be reminded that yes, I am still quite fat? It was actually kind of scary. But then I realized I need this scale; I need to know how much I weigh. I need to live in reality and know where I stand so I can stop avoiding it and actually have a chance to reach my goal weight.
That is my sad little story...but now it gets better because what better way to weigh myself and suffer the torture than on this beautiful glass masterpiece.
About Weight Watchers by Conair Glass Body Analysis Scale:
By incorporating this fabulous, sleek scale into any dieting regime or healthy living plan, you will know exactly where you stand each day. And because weight is not the only factor that is important to keep track of, this scale also measures body fat, body water, bone mass, and BMI. Another feature I really like is that it has a four-user memory, which is important when other members of the family are also trying to stay fit.
This scale has elegant styling with high strength tempered safety glass and stainless steel accents. The results are easy to read on a 1.5” LCD screen that scrolls through the various measurement readings. The scale has a 400 lb. capacity, is 12.2” x 12.4”, and operates on 2 long-life lithium batteries that are included.
Purchase: The Weight Watchers by Conair™ Glass Body Analysis Scale Model WW78 is available nationwide at stores such as Bed, Bath & Beyond, Sears and Rite-Aid, as well as www.conair-store.com for an average retail price of $39.99.
While I was scared of the scale for so long, I now see it as a tool that will help me reach my weight and health goals. I no longer aim for 125 pounds like when I was in my 20's, now I would be happy at 150 and thrilled to be able to actually wear a pair of shorts, a tank and some flip flops this year. By the way, that is not my weight ( I don't have the courage to show you my weight YET) above, that is Cici, who was thrilled to have a scale at home too, because she does work very hard to keep her weight down. Being so many of us women here, this scale is really going to come in handy.
If you have been looking for a scale, you need to keep this one in mind. It really is so much more than a regular old scale that keeps track of your weight. It does so much more!
I am very happy that we get to help another person along with their weight loss goals this year because Conair is giving away this same scale to one of our readers.
