Borrow Books From The Library On Your Kindle As of Today ~!

Yes! Woke up to happy news, you know how I love to read and one of my peeves with the Kindle has been that we could not check out library books. But when I opened my FB this morning saw a post from Amazon saying that as of today, we can borrow books to our Kindles!! Yipee :))

It doesn't say all libraries, but more than , 11,000 so I logged in to my county and yes, it's one of them. I already place The Help on hold and will be doing the same with many other titles that are not lendable. This is great news for a lot of us who can't buy the more expensive titles, and now we don't even have to visit the library to borrow books but download them from where ever we happen to be.

You can check out a Kindle book from your local library and read it on any generation Kindle device or free Kindle reading app. Find more info here.

Kindle books are available at more than 11,000 libraries in the U.S.

How It Works

You can borrow Kindle books from your local library's website and, with the click of a button, have them delivered to your Kindle device or free reading app.

• Visit the website of a U.S. library that offers digital services from OverDrive.

• Check out a Kindle book (using a valid library card).

• Click on "Get for Kindle" and then sign in to your Amazon.com account to have the book delivered to your Kindle device or reading app.

Note: Public library books can be sent wirelessly to Kindle devices via an active Wi-Fi connection or transferred via USB
